If you are a student with a passion for the potential of social media, Converseon has an exciting opportunity for you: Learn and work at the cutting edge of digital innovation - through a fall internship in our New York City Office.
Converseon's fall interns will provide support across a variety of clients in a very hands-on role. You will gain specific experience listening and monitoring online conversations, brainstorming and assisting social media strategies, and immersing yourself in new technologies/platforms. The role will be an ideal learning experience as you’ll have the opportunity to work very closely with our award-winning team and learn from close contact with recognized industry leaders.
Candidate Eligibility:

All candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university
- Candidates should display strong written and verbal communications skills
- Candidates must also possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook preferred) and strong organizational skills
- An interest in social media and participation through social blogs, podcasts, and social networks is preferred, but not required
- Eagerness to learn and gain significant industry experience
Must possess the aptitude to thrive within a fast pace environment, good attention to detail, take direction well, and work independently as well as within a team.
- Majors/Degrees – Preference will go to candidates with majors in PR, Marketing, Media, Advertising, E-Commerce, Journalism, Design, Film and who shows an interest in a wide variety of experience and skills
- Must have prior work experience (office experience preferred)
- Must be based in New York City or have transportation/access into the city. Converseon does not provide housing or transportation.
Details:
- Fall internship begins September 14th and ends on December 4th
- Your role will be to provide support for the social media group (very hands on); your experience will be what you make it - the harder you work, the more you get out of it
- Hours: Students will be asked to intern at least fifteen hours a week, but we will try our best to work around student's schedules
- Salary: Converseon offers paid and unpaid positions (please specify in cover letter). Paid positions will be based on an hourly rate of $10. Unpaid positions must receive academic credit. Upon acceptance students will be asked to provide a letter from their college or university confirming that they will receive school credit
